1. First outing with a master

   Wind, current and the launch spot are their knowledge, not a thing.

   Seams and valve — a soapy-water test at the hand-over.

   Length — to your height.

   No cracks in the cord or the cuff.

   A foam one — checked at the hand-over: buckles, seams, buoyancy. Inflatable ones don’t pass from hand to hand.

After the first season

You need your own board once you go out more than once a week. Until then — the center’s library and members who are leaving the island.
